Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail Intel's 4th gen processor codename: Haswell offers superior performance over the previous generation Ivybridge by up to 10% clock for clock. This astounding performance boost results in performance improvements in multi-tasking, encoding, gaming and multithreaded applications. Jun 2, 2013 - CPU: Core i4 4770K (quad-core with hyper threading, 3.5GHz/3.9GHz. That said, the i7 4770K does offer some clear performance increases.
Choking Hazard: Toy contains a small ball. Not for children under 3 years.
Pros: Over clocked to 4.1ghz
Cons: Can’t really of more than 600mhz
Other Thoughts: I was worried about bottleneck with my 2080ti. Amazingly this thing can keep up with my 2080ti. I run 4K st 60fps. Not sure about performance at higher refresh rate. I’m happy with it... still! New coffe lake processors just have smaller manufacturing process, no need to upgrade yet
Pros: -Speed and power is still relevant today
-With a gtx 1080 and 32gb ram this runs multiple VMs, android studio + emulator, VR oculus rift CV1, 4k, and even triple monitor games (1080 x3) with no problem and games/emulators at max settings (although games primarily focus on gpu).
-2018 and still have no reason to upgrade imo
-Upgrading to current gen requires new mobo (lga 1151 at least) and would require me to buy ddr4 ram which is painfully expensive so I can stay with this and my ddr3 in the mean time.
Cons: -Only con I can think of is almost no motherboard manufacturer is doing bios/chipset updates anymore for lga 1150 (or at least in my case, looking at you msi)
-End of life socket sizes so upgrading would require new motherboard and ram (right in the feels with the prices..)
-Not recommended for people building a whole new pc without a collection of parts since lga 1150 mobos are hard to find new and reasonably priced (thanks resellers).
-Cant really upgrade to anything new since you need to essentially buy all new components, mobo, ram, cpu etc
Other Thoughts: -With gtx 1080 and 32gb ram it is part of my main build and runs everything very very well from 4k, to triple monitor (1080 x3), to VR oculus rift cv1, to multiple Virtual machines,.
If you have this or can get it from someone for cheap, it is still good and holds its own even today. Resellers selling it dont seem to realize that people can buy newer cpus that are more powerful for less than the resellers price but thats the online game everywhere unfortunately.
**Nothing against resellers since theyre the only ones carrying discontinued items but its my opinion that the prices are unfair sometimes especially when compared to price of newest cpus
Pros: this thing is amazing. I haven't upgraded in almost 8years cuz I'm paying student loans. but this is a huge leap forward.
Cons: none.. maybe the stock cpu fan but what did you expect.
Other Thoughts: Well 4 years later and I really cant see a reason to upgrade. its still alive and kicking and I have no problem running games in 4k and everything else. still loving it.
Pros: Super powerful, Overclocks well, runs cool in my system
Cons: ummm...Intel is pricey? Really can't complain about this at all
Other Thoughts: Mine is 4 years old and still running strong. My motherboards RAM and PCI-e slots will probably become outdated before this CPU
Pros: is good
Cons: is good
Other Thoughts: is rlly good
Pros: owned for over a year without any issues, never been capped out yet
Cons: none
Pros: -I have overclocked 3 of these bad boys now and it's been a dream every time.
-Originally my personal one that I have been using for about 3 years now I had OC'd to 4.5GHZ but once in a while it acted funny. dropped it to 4.3GHZ in the first few months of owning and it has been stable and amazing ever since
NOTE: I have a corsair water cooling processor block on here. please don't try to hit these numbers with the stock fan.
Cons: -It's not 6 cores? haha seriously though none.
Other Thoughts: AGAIN NOTE: DON'T TRY TO HIT THESE OC'ing NUMBERS WITHOUT A DECENT COOLING SYSTEM
Pros: I've put this through its paces, with heavy video editing, gaming, and photo editing marathons, and the performance has never disappointed. No issues with heat with the stock cooler, and no trouble running most anything I've needed to run.
Cons: - None that I can tell.
Other Thoughts: Would definitely recommend to others. Thinking of keeping this instead of upgrading to a 6700K or even a Kaby Lake. There's a lot of longevity built into this chip!
